Sample Service Coordinator
The Sample Service Coordinators (Swedish abbreviation, PSK) are located in several locations throughout the country and act as a link between researchers and local biobanks.
Sample Service Coordinators aim to support researchers who are planning a study in which biobank samples are to be collected and the researcher wants to use the biobanks’ operational biobank services at two different biobanks or more.
The Sample Service Coordinators have an overall knowledge of the different biobanks’ routines, range, sample and data formats and can therefore guide researchers in the often complex planning phase that is required and by extension facilitate research as an important support function.
