Form N3 is removed from multi centre studies

Biobank Sweden’s management team has, after careful consideration, decided to remove form N3. The document has previously been used to report on completed sampling in multi centre studies.

It has emerged that these reports constitute an obstacle, both for researchers and sponsors, as well as for Regional Biobank Centres (RBCs) and E-biobank managers, who have to allocate significant resources for administration.

This change came into effect immediately (June 9, 2025), and the form has thus be removed from Biobank Sweden’s document page. In practice, this also means that notification of completed sampling in multi centre studies no longer needs to be reported to the regions’ E-biobanks.
